On January 6th, the faithful community at St George Serbian Orthodox Church gathered to celebrate the Vigil for the Feast of the Nativity of Our Lord and God and Savior Jesus Christ in the Flesh.  The choir sang beautiful responses as Fr Aleksa changed "God is with us," and the St George Church School children gathered together at the front of the Church to perform the First Ode of the Christmas Canon:  "Christ is born, glorify Him!"

Immediately following services, the community celebrated the Blessing of the Badnjak in the Church Hall.  Present at the services were Fr Vladimir, a local Orthodox monastic attached to St Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, and a photographer for the Morning Journal.
