Upon completing a Church School lesson on "Christian Life," the children of St. George put their faith in action by starting an on-going food drive to support our neighbors in south Lorain.

Lorain County, and nearby Huron County, are two of the areas in Ohio most adversely affected by the global economic downturn.  Many local families depend on food banks and distributions centers to feed their families and survive.  After contacting Sacred Life Mission (a local distribution center) in November, the children have already collected enough food for two large donations!

Sacred Heart Mission, and the people of South Lorain, are grateful for this ministry in the St. George Orthodox Church.  Please continue to support this drive by placing much needed food and supplies in the collection box located near the entrance of the Church Hall.

A special request has been made for formula, baby food and items that families with small infants require.
